An epic horse trek through the foothills of the High Atlas mountains

Just an hour's drive from bustling and vibrant Marrakech the pace of life grinds to a vitual halt as you arrive at the vast and beautiful Atlas mountains. This 5-day trek explores the foothills of a range noted for its extraordinary diversity of landscape and the hospitality of its inhabitants. Riding an average of around 6 hours per day, we take time to enjoy our surroundings on sure-footed Arab-Barbe horses, staying overnight in small comfortable and characterful mountain lodges. Throughout the ride the scenery changes constantly, from the fertile valleys, oases and barren foothills of the Thamesloth region to the grand Atlas panoramas of the verdant Ouirgane region. At the end of the ride your final night is spent in the ancient medina of Marrakech where we stay in a traditional "riad" guest house.

	Day 1 : Arrive Marrakech
	Day 2 : Transfer to ranch, saddle up and ride into surrounding hills
	Day 3 : Lakeside ride, lunch and overnight Berber village
	Day 4 : Ride through olive groves and mud villages around Kik Plateau
	Day 5 : Ride from Asni to Ouirgane, one of the Atlas's most
	picturesque villages
	Day 6 : Half-day ride around Ouirgane, picnic and transfer back to
	Marrakech. Overnight in a traditional "riad" in the ancient medina.
	Day 7 : Free to explore Marrakech. Depart.
